Two different 7-on/7-off schedules

In the rotating day/night version featured here, a worker completes seven day shifts, takes seven days off, completes seven night shifts, then takes seven days off. This is a 28-day individual cycle with 14 working shifts. Another widely documented arrangement uses permanent day crews and permanent night crews: each crew works seven shifts and rests seven days, repeating every 14 days without switching between days and nights. Both are described as 7-on/7-off, but they are different rosters. The example on this page is the 28-day version.
